Most Monogram troubleshooting online stops at the fridge that won’t cool. That leaves out the ranges, ovens, and dishwashers, which fail in their own ways. Here’s the short, practical version. If your Monogram fridge is the problem, we cover that on the Monogram not-cooling page. This handles the rest.
We should say up front: everyday brands are what fills our schedule, Samsung, LG, Whirlpool, GE, Bosch. Monogram is built-in and premium, and yes, we service it. Here’s the honest read on what breaks.
Ranges and cooktops
Dual-fuel Monogram ranges share a weak spot with other pro-style ranges: the fan-relay control board. When it ages you get intermittent convection, oven temperature drifting off setpoint, or a no-bake condition where broil works and bake does nothing. It’s a replaceable board, not a whole-range problem, but a tech should confirm it before ordering.
If a gas burner clicks but won’t light, try the free fixes first: pull the cap and head and dry everything (spilled liquid is the top cause), clear the igniter port with a toothpick, and reseat the cap flat. If it still won’t light or every burner clicks, the spark module or a cracked igniter is the cause.
Wall ovens
The common oven complaint is wrong temperature, not no heat. That’s almost always the RTD temperature sensor drifting with age, so the board reads a false number and your roast comes out raw or scorched while the display says 375. A tech confirms it with a meter and swaps it the same visit. No heat at all with a fault code points instead to the bake element, the relay board, or a tripped thermal cutoff.
Dishwashers
Water standing after a cycle is a drain issue. Clear the cylindrical filter in the sump and check the drain hose behind the cabinet for a kink. If it’s clean and water still sits, the drain pump or control board is the cause. Gritty or cloudy dishes usually mean a spray-arm or water-temperature problem: spin both arms by hand and clear the nozzle holes.
When to call
Built-in Monogram units are heavy and fit into cabinetry, so pulling one out isn’t a one-person job, and anything past clearing a filter or drying a burner cap means control boards, sealed gas lines, or live electrical.
