The pressure hose that tells the control how much water is in the tub can crack or slip on the TR series, and the washer either overfills toward the brim or agitates half dry. It is a cheap fix when caught early. We reseat or replace the hose, verify the pressure sensor reading, and run a full fill cycle before we leave.
Dryer squeals for the first ten minutes. A squeal that fades as the dryer warms up is the idler pulley bearing on the DR series, sometimes with a belt that has stretched and hardened. We replace the belt and idler together, because putting a new belt over a dying pulley just buys the squeal a few quiet months. Drum rollers get checked in the same teardown.
