Start relay failure on compact top-freezer units. Blocked defrost drain and water under the crisper. Water pooling under the deli or crisper drawers of a Haier is nearly always a frozen or gunked defrost drain. Meltwater from the defrost cycle has nowhere to go, so it runs forward into the cabinet. I clear the drain, flush it warm, and on models known for it I fit the drain with a heat-conducting clip so the ice does not reform. Twenty minutes of work that stops a floor-damage claim in a rental.
Inverter compressor faults on newer quad-door models. Haier's full-size quad-doors run inverter compressors driven by a separate control board. When the drive board fails, the fridge sits silent and warm with the lights on. Diagnosis means checking the drive signal and the compressor windings separately, not just swapping parts by guess. Both the drive board and the compressor come through the GE channel, and if it turns out the sealed system itself is at fault, the two-year sealed-system warranty covers my work on it.
