What we close on the truck.
- Sparking that starts right after the stovetop was cleaned. A wet electrode or a burner cap set down a few millimeters off will keep the spark module firing. If drying out and reseating doesn't stop it within a day, the electrode has cracked and holds moisture inside, and replacement is the fix.
- Oven reads right but bakes wrong. An oven sensor that drifts out of spec fools the control into holding the wrong temperature while the display insists everything is fine. I verify actual cavity temperature with an independent probe over a full cycle, then replace the sensor if the numbers disagree. Guesswork has no place in this repair.
- Hood whine that rises with fan speed. Daily cooking in a small kitchen keeps the hood running hours a day, and the blower bearings announce their age as a whine that climbs with each speed step. Motor replacement cures it. I also check duct backpressure, since a hood pushing against a kinked duct wears out sooner.

How long does it take you to get to Richmond from San Ramon?
