Best range hood, Moraga: no airflow
The call was simple. The Best hood over the range wasn’t clearing the air. Weak pull, cooking smells lingering, and the kitchen staying steamy well after dinner was done.
We checked the motor, the fan wheel, the wiring, and the filters. Two things were going on. The blower motor was on its way out, and the grease filters were caked solid, so even a healthy motor couldn’t move air through them.
New blower motor, fresh filters, and we tested the draw on every speed setting. The hood pulls full CFM again and it’s quiet. The kitchen clears in a couple of minutes now instead of holding smoke.
