- Washer throws E5C or stops with the drum half-spun. E5C is a motor control overheat. Sometimes the inverter board really has failed, but on hillside homes with long branch circuits I measure voltage under load first. A weak connection or an overloaded shared circuit cooks boards over and over. Fixing the actual cause is cheaper than replacing boards annually.
- Refrigerator clicks every few minutes but never gets cold. That click is the compressor trying to start and dropping out on its overload. On this platform the start relay and capacitor fail before the compressor does, and they're an inexpensive fix. If the compressor itself is gone, that's sealed-system territory, which we do in-house and warranty for two years.
- One radiant cooktop burner stuck on high or completely dead. Electrolux radiant cooktops use element control switches that fail in both directions: welded contacts leave a burner stuck on, worn contacts leave it dead. Stuck on high is a safety issue, so we treat those calls as urgent. The switch replaces cleanly without pulling the whole cooktop in most installs.
