Blackhawk is one of our closest service areas, a short run up Camino Tassajara from San Ramon. The homes here mostly went up in the 80s and 90s, and a lot of them have laundry upstairs near the bedrooms rather than in the garage. That layout is convenient until a Bravos washer starts shaking on spin, because an unbalanced top-loader on a second floor makes itself known through the whole house.

That clicking under the tub is almost always the shift actuator (W10006355), the small motor that switches the transmission between agitate and spin. It is one of the most common failures on the whole Bravos line and one of the cheapest to fix. We carry it on the van and typically finish in under an hour.
Second-floor washer walking and banging on spin. Upstairs laundry rooms in Blackhawk amplify suspension problems. Worn suspension rods let the tub slam the cabinet on high spin. I replace the rod set, check the leveling feet against the floor, and confirm a full spin cycle before I leave, because on a second floor a half-fixed suspension becomes a ceiling repair.
Maytag dryer squealing from the first minute of the cycle. A steady squeal on a Centennial or Bravos dryer is the idler pulley or drum rollers, both inexpensive parts. I replace the belt at the same time since the machine is already open, which saves you a second call six months later.
