We open it up and find out which it is, because the price difference between those repairs is large.
Ice maker water valve dripping inside the freezer. On Fisher & Paykel fridges with ice makers, a valve that no longer closes fully drips into the mold and builds an ice sheet or fused cubes. In the newer Newark homes with builder-installed units this shows up around year six or seven. We replace the valve and check the fill tube for splits while the panel is off.
Gas burner slow to light on one position. One burner that takes three or four seconds to catch while the others light instantly usually has a fouled igniter or a partially blocked burner ring, not a module problem.
