- GTW top-load washer stuck on sensing, won't spin. The most common GE washer call in Moraga. The GTW series uses a shift actuator (WH38X10017 on many models) to switch between agitate and spin, and when it fails the washer fills, hums, clicks, and never gets going. It's a known part, I usually have one on the truck, and the repair runs well under the cost of a new machine.
- GNE French door fridge stopped making ice. Two usual suspects on GNE models: the ice maker assembly itself gives up, or the fill tube freezes solid so water never reaches it. The fix differs, so I check the fill tube and the water valve before condemning the ice maker. If it is the maker, the common WR30X-series assemblies are a quick swap.
- JGB gas range oven won't light, burners fine. On GE JGB gas ranges the oven glow bar igniter weakens with age until it can't pull enough current to open the gas valve. You hear the click, see the glow, and get no flame. The stovetop keeps working because it lights differently. Igniter replacement is a standard visit, and I check the bake and broil igniters both while the oven is apart.
