GE in Saratoga
GE in Saratoga kitchens.
Saratoga grew out of orchards into tracts of ranch homes in the 50s through 70s, and most of those kitchens have been remodeled at least once since. The result is a very specific GE population: Profile wall ovens and cooktops from 90s and 2000s remodels still in daily service, and newer Cafe and Profile packages in the houses that redid the kitchen more recently. Both generations fail in ways we see weekly.
There's also a quieter side of Saratoga's housing, the condos and townhomes toward Quito and the village, where stacked GE laundry and standard-depth fridges do the work. Same brand, different failures, and we carry parts for both ends of the range on our South Bay runs.
We're a San Ramon company, CSLB #1136642, working seven days. The $75 diagnostic is credited to your repair, quotes are written, and on rebates for any qualifying replacement parts or units we confirm what is actually paying at estimate time instead of quoting stale numbers.

Common repairs we do
What we close on the truck.
- Cafe or Profile fridge dispenser drips, ice comes out slow. On newer CFE and PFE models a dripping dispenser and slushy, undersized ice usually trace to the water inlet valve or a clogged filter housing rather than the ice maker itself. Low flow starves the ice maker and it produces hollow cubes. I flow-test the line, check the valve, and replace the actual restriction. Half these calls end cheaper than the customer feared.
- GTW washer finishes the cycle but clothes are soaked. Soaked laundry at cycle end on a GTW means the spin never reached speed, and the usual causes are a drain pump losing capacity or a lid lock assembly that intermittently drops the cycle. Both throw subtle symptoms before they fail outright. I run a live spin test at the diagnostic so the quote names the real culprit.
- 90s-era GE wall oven running hot or cold by 30 degrees. The Profile and JT wall ovens installed during Saratoga's big remodel wave drift with age. The temperature sensor is the cheap fix, the electronic oven control board is the expensive one, and I measure the sensor's resistance before quoting so you don't buy a board for a sensor problem. These ovens fit cutouts that modern units often don't, so keeping them alive is usually the right call.

FAQ
GE in Saratoga questions, answered.
-
What's the drive from San Ramon to Saratoga, and does it affect scheduling?
It's about 50 minutes down 680 and around on 85. We build Saratoga into a South Bay route with Los Gatos, Los Altos Hills, and Palo Alto, so we're in the area on set days rather than randomly. Booking onto one of those route days gets you a tighter arrival window. -
Do you charge extra for condos or homes with tight parking near the village?
No. The $75 diagnostic and the quoted repair price are the same whether it's a ranch house on a quarter acre or a townhome off Quito Road. Just mention parking or HOA access rules when you book so the technician isn't stuck circling. -
Our wall oven is from 1998. Should we even bother repairing it?
Often yes, and not for sentimental reasons. Wall oven cutout sizes changed, so replacing a 90s GE frequently means cabinet modification on top of the unit price. If your oven needs a sensor or an element, the repair is a small fraction of that. If the control board is dead and discontinued, I'll tell you straight and you've spent $75 to avoid a much worse surprise.
